Who Are We #2 Hard C Times
For the second session, on March 3rd 2021, we had hoped for less strict rules, but we are not there yet. However, we wanted to cultivate the small seed that we planted, a seed of a different working culture, based on non-violent communication and solidarity, on joyful self-criticism, on care for (our) bodies and minds.
We met at Tempelhofer Feld and took a walk while discussing in small groups of 2-3 people at a safe distance. We later froze our bottocks on the grass while eating cake, drinking hot tea and discussing possible futures for the initiative. Sharing recent experience, we end up talking a lot about economic sustainability (why not collectively establishing a fee minimum?), negotiation skills and project evaluation criteria. We were very fascinated by this last proposal in particular: In addition to measuring the success of a project by the number of visitors, … one could assess the overall satisfaction of staff, whether or not they intend to continue working with the same colleagues, the impression that they have improved their professional and social skills, etc.
